BFTZ Innovation Service Center was opened in Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone on February 8, 2021, becoming the first project completed and operated in the Daxing Airport Area of China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ Daxing Airport Area) and China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (BFTZ).

The center will offer multiple services in terms of industrial promotion, financial innovation, innovation models, planning exhibition and other supporting services in order to create a better business environment, attract high-end talents, improve services, and accelerate warming-up of the land market.

BFTZ Innovation Service Center aims to create a low-density innovative international business community mainly comprising office buildings, commercial exhibition spaces and experts apartments. Enterprises registered in the community will benefit from several favorable policies, including free trade policies, the Zhongguancun science and technology innovation policies, Beijing's policies for further opening up the service sector, and "1+N" policy of Daxing District. So far, the center has attracted six health and life science projects as well as eight financial sector projects. Enterprises will enjoy one-stop administrative review and approval services during their operations. The center will also provide human resource, policy and financial support as enterprises move in for business.

Daxing International Airport Economic Zone is the only area in China covered by free trade zone policies implemented by two provincial-level administrative regions. As of February 2021, 358 market entities have entered the two FTZs, including eight foreign-invested market players. The registered capital of the FTZ's domestic-invested enterprises totaled CNY 26.5 billion, and its contracted foreign investment amounted to USD 55.9 million.

As required, the airport economic zone has formulated schedules for the two zones covering their development policies, spatial resources and target enterprises. By the end of this year, the free trade zone area will offer available space of 255,500 square meters, expected to attract 100 target enterprises.
