On the evening of February 28, the "2023 Beijing Consumption Season" hosted by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality officially kicked off on Qianmen Street. In 2023, Beijing will continue to improve the quality of brands including "Strolling in Beijing", "Beijing Internet-famous Attractions", "Beijing Micro Vacation" and "Reading Architecture". Efforts will be made to cultivate sub-brands such as "Internet-famous Attractions" and "Beijing Micro Vacation Experience Officer". The city will further develop the brands of the first group of "Beijing Micro Vacation" destinations, promote the second group of "Beijing Micro Vacation" destinations, and elaborate on the experiences provided by 21 cycling routes featuring culture and tourism. In addition, Beijing will build the "Light Up Beijing" brand and actively hold nighttime cultural and tourism consumption activities. It will also make full use of the brand of Universal Beijing Resort to drive the development of Taihu Performing Arts Town, Zhangjiawan Design Town and the Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Scenic Area, so as to promote concentrated development of cultural and tourism industries and boost relevant consumption in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center.
Beijing will strengthen the brand management and quality improvement for "Beijing Gift", encourage the development of the brand with Beijing cultural elements and modern fashions, enhance the scientific and technological content of the "Beijing Gifts" brand, and strengthen the development of "Beijing Gifts" relating to life services. Moreover, the city will continue to cooperate with well-known IP brands and build "Beijing Gift" into a high-end, high-quality and international brand.
Beijing will hold activities such as spring flower viewing, camping festivals, the Beijing Culture Forum and the Cultural and Tourism Integration Development Forum. It will launch 10 cultural exploration routes in the core area, and release the list of "Sixteen Attractions of New Beijing in the New Era" after careful selection. The 10th Beijing International Tourism Commodities and Tourism Equipment Fair will be held, with diversified themed exhibition areas for cultural and tourism consumption.
In addition, great efforts will be made to implement the Incentive Measures of Beijing Municipality for Promoting New Cultural and Tourism Consumption, with financial incentives amounting to CNY 30 million for highly innovative demonstration projects with considerable social benefits and remarkable consumption promotion achievements. Meanwhile, new policies will be introduced to create a good environment for cultural and tourism consumption.
Beijing will hold a series of high-standard cultural activities to benefit the people, including the 11th Beijing People-oriented Cultural Consumption Season in 2023. It will strive to promote the integration of its brand activities and market activities, focus on key neighborhoods and blocks, develop core activities, areas and events, and combine online and offline activities to fully stimulate people's cultural consumption.
