Description: Hongluosi was built in the fourth year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (338 AD) and is a permanent temple of the ten directions. It is the birthplace of northern Buddhism and the largest Buddhist monastery in China, enjoying a high status in the Buddhist community for over a thousand years. The last two generations of ancestors of the Pure Land Sect in China are connected to this temple, leading to the saying, "In the south, there is Putuo; in the north, there is Hongluo."

The ancient temple, surrounded by mountains and waters, is built against the majestic Hongluo Mountain to the north and the beautiful Hongluo Lake to the south. The area is shaded by ancient trees, making it a treasure land. The "Three Unique Sceneries of Hongluosi" - the Imperial Bamboo Forest, the Male and Female Ginkgo Trees, and the Wisteria Climbing Pine are famous far and wide, with millions of bamboo poles and thousands of acres of ancient pine forest surrounding the entire temple, creating a beautiful picture of "the ancient temple hidden in the green waves." The spiritual energy of the mountains and rivers has created a Buddhist garden landscape that "uniquely occupies the 'feng shui' of the land and possesses the beauty of the natural environment." The Hongluo si scenic area has formed a "one-day tour" sightseeing pattern, including the ancient temple cultural area, Guanyin Temple cultural area, Big Buddha cultural area, and the natural viewing areas of Hongluo Mountain and Qinglong Mountain, featuring the characteristics of "spring flowers, summer coolness, autumn leaves, and winter appreciation of the three friends of the cold season." Visitors can enter the ancient temple to admire the solemn Buddhist rituals, reflect on their own nature, eliminate worries, and find peace and joy, or stroll in the forest, rest under the pines, or climb high to enjoy the scenery and sing freely, fully experiencing the joy of leisure.

Description:  Established in 1925, the Palace Museum is a broadly representative  museum on traditional Chinese art, based on the imperial palace of the  consecutive Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, known as  the Forbidden City, as well as its vast imperial art collections.
In  1961, the State Council listed the Forbidden City as one of China’s most  important protected cultural heritage sites, and in 1987 it was  inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO. In 2007, the Palace  Museum was designated as "national 5A Tourist Attraction", and the next  year, it was among the first Chinese museums to be recognized by the  National Cultural Heritage Administration as "National First-level  Museum".
Covering over one million square metres, the Ming and Qing  heritage architectural compound under the Palace Museum’s administration  consists of around 9000 bays (internal spaces defined by eave columns)  of heritage structures, making it the largest and best-preserved  historical palace complex in the world.
The Forbidden City, based on  which the Museum was born, was completed in 1420, the eighteenth year of  the Yongle reign in the Ming Dynasty. It is composed of the Outer Court  and the Inner Court. The Outer Court served as the venue for grand  ceremonies and rituals. Its main structures include the Hall of Supreme  Harmony (Taihe dian), Hall of Middle Harmony (Zhonghe dian), and Hall of  Preserving Harmony (Baohe dian)—the three majestic halls  dominating the centre; as well as the Hall of Literary Brilliance  (Wenhua dian) and Hall of Martial Valour (Wuying dian), which flank the  central axis.
The Inner Court was the residence of the Emperor and  his family, and was used for day-to-day affairs of state. Here,  imitating the layout of the three grand halls mentioned above are the  Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qianging gong), Hall of Union (Jiaotai dian),  and Palace of Earthly Tranquillity (Kunning gong). Situated on their  either side are six walled palace compounds serving as residences for  the Emperor’s consorts, known as the Six Eastern Palaces and the Six  Western Palaces. Beyond these, there is a palace compound for the  retired emperor to the east, and another for the empress dowager to the  west, among other structures and courtyards.
Following its  completion, the Forbidden City served as residence for a total of 24  Ming and Qing emperors. After the last Emperor of the Qing Dynasty Puyi  abdicated in 1912, the Forbidden City's role as the seat of imperial  rule came to an end.
In 1914, the National Museum of Art (Guwu  Chenliesuo) was established in the Outer Court and opened to the public.  In 1925, the Inner Court was converted into the Palace Museum. In 1948,  both institutions were merged into one, retaining the name 'Palace  Museum'.
Today, the Palace Museum possesses an all-encompassing  collection numbering over 1.86 million pieces (sets) in 25 major  categories, an authentic artistic treasure trove.
It showcases the  age-old and splendid Chinese civilization to the public through the  imperial palace architecture, the display of original interior settings,  dedicated galleries including decorative arts, timepieces, paintings,  calligraphy, ceramics, and sculptures, as well as special exhibitions.

Description: The Summer Palace (formerly known as Qingyi Garden), built in 1750, is one of the best-preserved royal gardens. It was reconstructed and renamed the Summer Palace by the Qing government in 1886. As the most  important venue of political and diplomatic activities for the supreme ruler of the late Qing Dynasty outside the Forbidden City, it was both an important witness to China's modern history and the site of many major historical events.
The Summer Palace mainly consists of the  palace area, the Longevity Hill area, and the Kunming Lake area. In the  past, the palace area was where the emperors and empress dowagers of the Qing Dynasty worked and lived. It is comprised of such buildings as the  East Palace Gate, the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, the Garden of Virtue and Harmony, the Hall of Happiness and Longevity, the Hall of Jade Ripples and the Hall of Yiyun. The Longevity Hill area has the most tourist attractions in the Summer Palace. Particularly, the Hall of Dispelling Clouds, the Tower of Buddhist Incense and the Sea of Wisdom Temple, located in the heart of the area, are the most iconic buildings  of the Summer Palace. The South Lake Island, the Zhijing Pavilion, the Talent-selecting Hall and the West Causeway constitute the main attractions in the vast Kunming Lake area.
In 1961, the Summer Palace was listed among the first batch of the major historical and cultural  sites protected at the national level. In 1998, it was included in the  World Heritage List by UNESCO for its rich historical and cultural heritage, beautiful natural environment and excellent preservation  efforts. It is known as a powerful symbol of Chinese civilization, one  of the world's greatest ancient civilizations.
