Submission of works: From the date of the issuance of this announcement to November 8

Eligible Participants

All Beijing citizens, foreign friends working and living in Beijing, organizations in Beijing, etc. Participants can be individuals or groups.

1. The submitted videos should be original works that have not won awards in other contests and should have strong relevance to the theme "Beijing - A Global City".

2. Submitted works should be short videos, each with a duration of no more than 5 minutes.

Resolution: No less than 1280*720

Formats Accepted: MPG, MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, and other relevant formats.

3. The content of each submitted video must be appropriate, positive and appealing.

4. The participants should be responsible for the copyrights of and other issues related to the submitted videos. The hosting party may use the videos for non-profit promotion and long-term display to the public, including promotion via overseas social media platforms.

5. Videos can be in any language. Chinese subtitles are needed for videos in foreign languages other than English.

Participating video works should be published on new media platforms such as Kuaishou, WeChat Video Account, and Douyin, with the hashtag #2024北京国际范儿# (which means "2024 Beijing - A Global City"). Every participant should also send the original file, the name, and the introductory text of the participating video, and the participant's information (name, employer (organization) and contact details) to the email address of the organizing committee (beijingvideos@cri.cn) for further communication. 1. Comprehensive evaluation will be conducted based on each video's relevance to the theme of the contest, creativity and innovation, artistic infectiousness, and production level. The event will select two winners for the First Prize, five winners for the Second Prize, 10 winners for the Third Prize, and 20 winners for the Excellence Prize. Several individual awards will also be presented, including two Outstanding Communication Awards, two Outstanding Popularity Awards, two Outstanding Visual Effects Awards, two Outstanding Creativity Awards, and two Outstanding Story Awards. Additionally, several Outstanding Organization Awards (Honorary) will be granted to the winning organizations.

2. Main evaluation criteria:

(1) Content: relevance to the theme, creativity and innovation, artistic infectiousness, and production level (scored by expert judges)

(2) Promotion: Numbers of views, likes, comments, shares, etc.

During the submission period, the organizing committee will upload all participating works through the official video accounts of "Beijing - A Global City" on Douyin, Kuaishou, and WeChat Video Account. Users of the aforementioned platforms can vote for their favorite works by liking them. The deadline for vote counting is tentatively set for November 22, 2024.

3. Awards: The hosting party will issue certificates and cash prizes to the winning works. Specifically, each First Prize-winning work will receive CNY 15,000; each Second Prize-winning work will receive CNY 8,000; each Third Prize-winning work will receive CNY 3,000; each Excellence Prize-winning work will receive CNY 1,000; and each individual award-winning work will receive CNY 1,000. All amounts mentioned above are pre-tax.

4. Promotion: The winning works will be widely promoted through the official websites, official Weibo accounts, and the social media accounts of the hosting and organizing parties.

5. The winners will be announced via the official websites of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and CRI Online, and other official channels.
