According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, the administrative office area of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC) has achieved 100 percent green electricity supply.

BMC has made notable strides in efforts to build a green energy system. A 100 percent green electricity supply has been realized in the administrative office area. A pilot base for new power systems has been officially unveiled, and Qiantuan Village has become the city's first zero-carbon digital microgrid village. Additionally, the Green Energy Supply and Carbon Management Project in the Central Green Forest Park has become one of the first examples of green and low-carbon energy transition in the country.

In terms of promoting green buildings based on high standards, BMC has become the first region in China to fully implement the three-star green building standard for large public buildings. Its administrative office area has also taken the lead in realizing 100 percent use of three-star green building materials.

Significant progress has also been made in green transportation. Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone 3.0 has been completed, and driverless shuttle minibuses have been deployed in the Central Green Forest Park. The proportion of new energy vehicles used on bus routes that start and end in the BMC has reached 100 percent.

Green industries continue to thrive. The BMC is now home to 13 national-level green factories. The China Beijing Green Exchange established its presence in the Grand Canal CBD and was launched with the aim of building itself into a national-level green exchange. A CNY ten billion fund, the Beijing Green Energy and Low-Carbon Industry Investment Fund, has also been established to support green energy and low-carbon industries across Beijing.

In terms of green culture promotion, BMC has hosted five consecutive sessions of the Green Development Forum. All 82 Party and government institutions in Tongzhou District have met the energy-saving standards, setting an example of sustainable governance.
