On May 7, the operational platform of the International Commercial Arbitration Center (Beijing) was officially launched. It is located on the 40th floor of CP Center's North Tower in Beijing Central Business District (Beijing CBD), where the Beijing International Dispute Resolution Center (BIDRC) has been established to provide office spaces and professional services for resident institutions.
The International Commercial Arbitration Center (Beijing) encompasses five functions: exchanges and cooperation, resource aggregation, arbitration promotion, shared services, and talent think-tank. With every effort, it will build four key brands, namely the "Grand Hall", "Globally Shared Trial Center", "Full-Chain Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanism", and "Foreign-Related Legal Talent Practice and Training Base", leading the high-quality development of China's arbitration industry.
With the Beijing CBD as the core functional area, the International Commercial Arbitration Center (Beijing) will promote the concentrated development of arbitration institutions and other professional service providers. Meanwhile, the location advantages of other districts will be leveraged to construct numerous specialized legal service hubs. At present, specialized legal service hubs are quickly developing, including the legal affairs hub in Fengtai District, the cultural and entertainment hub in Dongcheng District, and the intellectual property hub in Haidian District. As a result, the landscape of "one core supported by multiple hubs" is rapidly taking shape.
The International Commercial Arbitration Center (Beijing) has now reached strategic cooperation intentions with 21 professional institutions. These institutions will provide diverse, accessible, and efficient dispute resolution services to market entities via service counters, service desks, contact points, and other channels on the operational platform.
