The volume of Beijing's service industry has ranked No.1 among major cities in the country for many years. The total added value of the five major equipment manufacturing industries increased by 10.6 percent, with those of the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industries, special equipment manufacturing industries, and railway, ship-building, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industries soaring by 25.3 percent, 17.1 percent, and 16.8 percent respectively.

Beijing's top ten high-tech industries have all exceeded CNY 100 billion in their output values, with the total output value of the new generation information technology clusters surpassing CNY 3 trillion and the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry clusters topping CNY 500 billion.
In terms of products, the output values of wind turbines, LCD modules, new energy vehicles, and medical instruments, equipment, and apparatus grew by 68.8 percent, 39.2 percent, 35.6 percent, and 26.7 percent respectively.

Among the city's industries above the designated size, the total annual output value of more than 300 national-level specialized, refined, differential and innovative industrial "little giants" rose by 15.2 percent year-on-year.
The R&D investment intensity and revenue profit margin of enterprises from January to November 2023 registered 9.8 percent and 12.3 percent respectively.
