Fangshan District has always been a significant manufacturing hub in Beijing, known for its solid industrial foundation. With the rise of Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Base and Beijing High-end Manufacturing Base, the total industrial output value of enterprises above designated size in the district exceeded CNY 100 billion in 2023, making Fangshan rank fourth in this regard citywide.

Fangshan prioritizes the development of a core industrial area, with a clear development direction for its leading industries, and fosters four major industrial clusters to strengthen and supplement the industry chains.
