Chaoyang District, situated in the eastern part of Beijing, boasts the largest area and the highest population within the central urban area of Beijing. It covers a total area of 470.8 square kilometers and has a population of 3.44 million. Furthermore, we have over 380,000 business entities, which is the district with the highest number of enterprises in the city. Chaoyang District has many outstanding advantages, resources, and characteristics that can be summarized in several aspects:

First, Chaoyang District is the economic powerhouse of the capital and a demonstration zone for the city's high-quality development. Our GDP and fiscal revenue account for about one-fifth of Beijing's total, consumption accounts for about one-fourth, and the total volume of import and export investment and trade accounts for about half of the city's total. It can be said that Chaoyang District is the cornerstone of Beijing's economic development. Taking the first half of this year as an example, our economy exhibited a steady and rapid recovery and growth. Our GDP achieved a 5.4 percent increase, and local fiscal revenue achieved a double-digit growth of 10.3 percent, maintaining the city's top position in terms of district income. Furthermore, investment grew by 15.1 percent, higher than the city's average by 1.5 percent, and consumption saw a 5.3 percent increase, higher than the city's average by 0.8 percent. So far, our contribution to the city's overall consumption has reached 27.8 percent, highlighting our significant role in driving Beijing's economy.

The second prominent feature is that Chaoyang District serves as a center for international exchanges. Chaoyang District is known as the "leading district for foreign affairs in China". Nearly all the foreign embassies are based in Chaoyang, along with over 90 percent of international media organizations, over 80 percent of international organizations and business associations, 70 percent of regional headquarters of multinational companies, 70 percent of foreign financial institutions, over 50 percent of international conferences and exhibitions, and about 50 percent of the foreign population, highlighting the district's rich international resources. About half of our foreign-funded enterprises are located here too. The district is home to the top ten internationally well-known law firms, top ten advertising companies, top ten consulting firms, top ten human resources service agencies, three major rating agencies, and two of the four major accounting firms, underscoring the diverse and prosperous ecosystem for international business within Chaoyang District.

The third prominent feature is that Chaoyang District is at the forefront of the capital's international financial opening up. As previously mentioned, more than 70 percent of international financial institutions are gathered in Chaoyang. Chaoyang District now has 1,800 financial institutions, including 400 foreign-funded institutions, covering 100 percent of the city's automotive finance companies, 100 percent of foreign-funded reinsurance companies, 80 percent of foreign-funded legal person banking institutions, 70 percent of foreign-funded insurance and related institutions, as well as 70 percent of the Beijing representative offices of securities exchanges. Such abundance of financial resources is highly remarkable. Notably, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has its global headquarters situated in Chaoyang District. Additionally, well-known international organizations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and Asian Development Bank all have their Beijing offices based in Chaoyang. Therefore, Chaoyang District serves as a vital hub where Chinese finance and global finance converge.

The fourth feature is that Chaoyang District is the main carrier area for the construction of the demonstration zone for the capital as an international center for consumption. In terms of the construction for the international consumption center city, as previously mentioned, Chaoyang District holds a substantial share of consumption in Beijing, accounting about one-fourth. Six out of Beijing's top ten famous business districts are located in Chaoyang District. Currently, Chaoyang District is making every effort to build a consumption pattern of "one horizontal, one vertical, and one core". "One horizontal" refers to the construction of a commercial and economic belt along the Liangma River, which is now a famous national nighttime cultural tourism consumption gathering area in Beijing and a popular destination for social media posts. "One vertical" is the commercial belt along the Subway Line 14, such as Wangjing Street and Hopson One, which have already taken shape. "One core" refers to the CBD and Sanlitun commercial area. Chaoyang District is following Beijing's deployment to create this hundred-billion-level business district, which is also a well-known business district in Beijing. In addition, it is known to all that there are many delicious, enjoyable, and fun things in Chaoyang District, such as 60 percent of Michelin restaurants, 68 percent of Black Pearl restaurants, over 40 percent of coffee shops, and over 30 percent of tea consumption stores, all gathered in Chaoyang District. Therefore, Chaoyang District is a place of gourmet food, tea fragrance, coffee and fashion.

Fifth, Chaoyang District is the core area for the construction of a benchmark city for the global digital economy in the capital. Chaoyang District is home to more than 3,800 high-end, precision and cutting-edge enterprises, including 670 specialized, high-grade and innovation-driven businesses that provide distinctive products or services, of which 61 are national little giants and 19 are unicorn enterprises. Chaoyang District also boasts a highly concentrated pool of technological resources. In line with our current comprehensive plan, Chaoyang District is vigorously promoting the industrial Internet + artificial intelligence + digital security, under the framework of the 3+X industrial layout system, and striving to promote the high-speed development of the digital economy industry. At the same time, based on future industrial development, we have made early arrangements for the overall promotion plan of WEB3.0: Chaoyang District and municipal government departments have taken the lead in issuing relevant measures to promote the landing of WEB3.0, and have formulated action plans. The city's first WEB3.0 industrial base has been established and landed in the Star Land Center. At present, a coordinated ecosystem of “industry+park, project+enterprise, and fund+capital” hascome into shape, laying a very important foundation for the future development of the district's digital economy.

In addition, Chaoyang District is well-known for its rich cultural resources, and it is actively developing as a hub for cultural innovation. The 798 Art Zone is a well-known national-level demonstration zone for cultural innovation industries and is currently the only national-level recommended park in Beijing. Within Chaoyang District there are 71 museums, 44 characteristic bookstores, and more than 80 specialty bookstores, including some well-known brands. The cultural landscape is characterized by its profound heritage. Furthermore, as we all know, Chaoyang District has a rich cultural heritage in the "Dual Olympics". Many famous national sports facilities of the “Dual Olympics” are located in Chaoyang District, such as the Bird's Nest, Water Cube, and Ice Ribbon, all of which are highly popular online check-in places and notable landmarks for visitors and sports enthusiasts.

The information presented above highlights the significant contributions of Chaoyang District to the overall economy of the city, along with the distinctive advantages emerging from the development of various industries. These factors have laid a strong foundation for future business ventures and industrial projects. All these attributes underscore the exceptional characteristics of Chaoyang District.
