The demonstration zone aims to create a welcoming second hometown for German enterprises. The core industrial space is supported by nearby facilities, including Beijing Capital International Airport, the central villa area, the New China International Exhibition Center, and large supermarkets. It will establish a sunken commercial plaza in the China-Germany building, incorporating German-style beer halls, cafes, cultural exhibition halls, and other leisure spaces. It will hold cultural and sports events such as wine festivals, beer festivals, China-Germany football friendship matches, equestrian family days, rowing master competitions, China-Germany markets and photography exhibitions. The zone is also developing an international reception hall, service hall, achievement exhibition hall, and an international talent community to foster an international environment and promote the two-way exchanges of industry, talent, investment, and technology.
China-Germany (China-Europe) Hidden Champions Forum: The demonstration zone, in partnership with the European
Senate of Economy, has brought the Summit of World Market Leaders (World Hidden Champions Summit) to Beijing.
Widely recognized as the "Davos of German and European Manufacturing", this summit has been held successfully
in Germany for 14 consecutive years. Hosting the forum outside Europe for the first time, this landmark event
establishes a premier platform for China-Europe collaboration in technological innovation, industrial development,
talent exchange, and information sharing.
The forum attracted nearly 100 international guests from 13 countries, including Germany, France, the UK,
the Netherlands, and Italy. Notably, 70 percent of the attendees were representatives from hidden champion
enterprises. More than 50 hidden champions and specialized, sophisticated, and innovative enterprises showcased
their capabilities, while the event received widespread coverage from over 100 domestic and international media
outlets, extending its reach to countries such as France, Austria, and Switzerland, injecting new vitality into
development of the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and International Exchange Center.
The forum integrates the characteristics and demands of well-known German and European industry enterprises,
hidden champions, and innovative SMEs developing in China, fostering an ecosystem of mutual trust and cooperation.
It aims to share new achievements in openness, innovation and win-win cooperation while exploring and developing
demonstration experiences and practices in China-Germany economic and technological cooperation, enhancing Shunyi's
reputation as the benchmark for China-Germany cooperation.
