The Beijing Culture Forum is held under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. It is hosted by the Office of the Beijing Municipal Leading Group for Promoting the Construction of the National Cultural Center and the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and co-organized by the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and the Dongcheng District People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
Initiated in 2022, the forum adopted "Inheritance, Creativity, Mutual Learning" as its permanent theme. With strong international features, it has become an important platform serving the capital's development in the new era.

As one of the activities of the 2025 Beijing Cultural Forum, from September 19th to 24th, more than 20 professional salons were held in various cultural spaces in Beijing.
Combined with the themes of the six parallel forums, professional salons focus on topics such as digital empowerment of cultural heritage, stimulation of cultural originality by science and technology, breaking the circle of audio-visual industry integration, improvement of public cultural quality by new science and technology, innovation and development of network culture, and respect for the diversity of civilizations, and pay extensive attention to frontier topics such as the international spread of intangible cultural heritage, the interpretation and exchange of cultural heritage values, and the systematic transformation of mainstream media by large models.
