Infrastructure overview

Haidian District has made great breakthroughs in building up its infrastructure in recent years. What used to be a rural and suburban area is being rapidly transformed into one of the most developed parts of Beijing.

A string of commercial centers have been established, making Haidian a major business trading and consumer shopping hub.

Convenient transportation network

The traffic system of Haidian District leads to all directions. It is 25 kilometers from the center of Haidian District to the Capital International Airport and 10 kilometers to Beijing West Railway Station. The Third, Fourth and Fifth Ring Roads, feed the whole district. They connect people and logistics of major downtown areas, suburbs and satellite towns, providing a favorable transportation environment for the development of enterprises.

There are currently 109 airline service companies (including booking offices) and 656 freight service and logistics companies located in Haidian. No. 4, No. 9 (phase one) and No. 10 subways, as well as municipal railways, all pass through Haidian District. Top Chinese airline companies have established booking offices and freight service agencies in Haidian District. These specialized offices supply rapid and timely international airline services through the information network. Haidian District is a center of freight service companies and many famous freight service and logistics companies operate in the district.

The foundational education of the district aims to provide talent and knowledge for the Zhongguancun Science and Technologies Park.
