According to the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, foreign experts are not allowed to carry the following objects when they enter the P. R. China:

1. All kinds of weapons, replica weapons, ammunition or explosives;

2. Forged bank notes or securities;

3. Publications, films, photographs, records, video disks, tapes, video tapes, laser video discs, computer storage mediums, and other products that contain material that is harmful to China politically, economically, culturally and morally;

4. All kinds of acrid poison;

5. Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana, and other kinds of addictive narcotic drugs or psychoactive drugs;

6. Animals, plants and biological products made from animals and plants that contain dangerous viruses, insects or other species of creatures;

7. Food, medicine and other items which are harmful to human beings and animals, or which are brought from epidemic areas of infectious disease.
