Tips on what to be aware of, and protecting your rights

Please pay attention to police tips, always keep alert to avoid being infringed. In case of a police emergency, please dial police line 110. More than 40 languages are spoken, including English, French, German, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish provided by Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. Foreigners also may report to the police station at the crime scene or make a call directly to Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau at (8610)8401-5300. Police will be there to help you as soon as possible.

Handling troubles while shopping or receiving services

Consumers may ask for compensation from sellers when their legitimate rights and interests are encroached while shopping or receiving services. In case of a dispute, consumers may consult with the seller, or ask for intermediation through the Association of Consumer Protection, consumers can also make a claim to an administrative department, or file a suit in the local people's court.
