Starting April 8, BLACK Music Weekend will be staged every weekend in the Beijing Music Industrial Park in Heizhuanghu, Chaoyang District.

The performing spaces for BLACK Music Weekend are relatively small but present top-notch performances. Audiences can enjoy a more immersive experience, interacting with performers at a close range. In the future, BLACK Music Weekend aims to host a wide variety of music events, including forms such as rap and folk songs.

In addition to music performances, the Heizhuanghu area provides a variety of regional consumption activities, offering citizens more options to do on their weekends.

The Besties Tea Party Area, for example, includes a place for picnic mats and lazy sofas. Visitors and the audience can sprawl out on the lawn with their best friends, soaking up the sun. The Happy Image Poetry Area features beautiful flowers, plants, and lovely rabbits, giving visitors a picturesque backdrop for snaps with their loved ones and friends. In the Trendy Food and Play Area, more than 100 selected shops sell paintings, home-grown Chinese crafts, handmade ornaments, food and drinks, among other things.

An official from the Heizhuanghu area of Chaoyang District said that Beijing Music Industrial Park would take BLACK Music Weekend as an opportunity to pool music resources and provide diversified consumption scenarios for different consumer groups, build a new "Music Plus" consumption landmark which integrates leisure, culture, and tourism. The goal is to create a perpetual music festival for citizens.

Beijing Music Industrial Park, located on the corridor between the core area of Beijing and the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, covers an area of nearly 4,600 mu (307 hectares) with a gross floor area of 542,000 square meters. In March 2020, it was listed as one of the key projects of Beijing's efforts to build a "music city". The Park is divided into five sections: the music production center, the immersive music experience center, the music performing arts center, an original music base, and supporting commercial facilities. This year, work will also be completed on an office area for music enterprises, a studio area for musicians, and a music park.
