Under the theme of "Echo with Changing Times", the National Drama Show Season 2020: Great Dramas in Dongcheng District was unveiled on December 12th at Beijing Poly Theater. From early December, 2020 to late January, 2021, a total of 22 great dramas from seven provinces and cities will be staged at the Capital Theater, the National Theater of China, Poly Theater, and the China National Theater for Children in Beijing, and other cities such as Shanghai, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Nanjing and Shenzhen.

During the Season, a number of drama plays will be put on stage, including: Thunderstorm, After Thunderstorm, Xiaojing Hutong, The Yellow Storm, Unparalleled Elegance and Rhinoceros in Love. In addition, a series of outreach activities will be held to promote dramas among the public, such as an exhibition about the stage photos of dramas presented during the season, and a poll for outstanding dramas during the National Drama Show Season.

Three sessions of National Drama Show Season have been held so far. Guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, the event this year is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and the Dongcheng District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and co-organized by the Dongcheng Trade Association for Performances and Poly Performance Arts Co., Ltd.
