On February 2, the Beijing 2022 Organising Committee unveiled "Praise of Ice and Snow", part of the "Praise of Winter Sports" series of artwork exhibitions for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.

The Culture and Ceremonies Department of the Committee has been working with well-known artists, both from home and abroad, in preparation for the exhibition, and chose the eve of the one-year countdown to reveal this collection.

"Praise of Ice and Snow" is the third exhibition in the series and showcases more than 40 pieces by Mou Cheng and Li Honghai. These works employ traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy to artistically express key aspects of the Winter Olympic Games - that is, ice and snow. They effectively bring out not only the charm of winter sports but also the larger culture around ice and snow.

The Committee will continue to promote the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games by holding various artistic events showcasing China's preparations for the games and achievements in winter sports at important junctures in the countdown to the games' commencement.
