The popular Liangma River cruise in Beijing's Chaoyang District will set sail on March 18 (Saturday). Residents will be able to take a trip on Liangma River by boat. In May, an 18-kilometer-long waterfront greenway will be completed along the Liangma River.

On March 18, Chaoyang District will hold a cruise-themed event on the riverside. Dozens of high-rated stores along the Liangma River will participate in the event, and residents can also enjoy cultural performances there.

The upcoming six-kilometer-long Liangma River cruise line consists of phase I and phase II routes of the "Liangma River International Style Waterfront". The phase I route is two kilometers long. Cruise ships run in opposite directions respectively from Yansha Wharf and SOLANA Wharf, connecting 10 scenic spots along the Liangma River. The route is a comprehensive night tour project featuring culture, business, tourism and technology. The phase II route includes Bisha Wharf, Junwangfu Wharf and Honglingjin Wharf, starting from a lake in Chaoyang Park, bypassing Beijing Junwangfu Hotel, and reaching Honglingjin Lake.

At present, Chaoyang District is working on the waterfront greenway under the East Third Ring Bridge of the Liangma River, which is expected to be completed in May this year. By then, an 18-kilometer-long waterfront greenway will be established along the Liangma River.

The Liangma River International Style Waterfront has been included in the first group of national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters and was selected as one of the ten classic cases of high-quality development in Beijing.

The Liangma River passes through the Second and Third Embassy Zone of Beijing. The economic and business circles on both sides of the river have been adjusted and upgraded, attracting a large number of consumers and promoting the vitality of regional economy. An important waterside economic belt has thus been formed in the northeast of Beijing. In terms of the nighttime economy, 400 brands have settled in the 120000 square meters of nighttime business area, creating a cultural and tourism consumption center featuring immersive nighttime economy experience.

The Liangma River, with an area of about 800,000 square meters, connects 23 residential communities and areas. Residents can enjoy the greenery and beautiful scenery outside their windows and doors. Seventy-five percent of the public space has become popular spots for leisure time and entertainment.
