National Museum of China

The National Museum of China is located at the east side of the Tian'anmen Square, opposite to the Great Hall of the People. With an area of over 200,000 sqm, the museum has over 120 collections. It boasts 48 exhibition halls that systematically demonstrate the culture and history of the Chinese people. Integrating collection, exhibition, and research, the venue is one of the world's most-favored museums.

Capital Museum

The Capital Museum is a large-scale comprehensive museum in Beijing. It collects 5,622 cultural relics, among which the most famous include Selected Works of Ancient Ceramics Art, Selected Works of Ancient Bronze Art, Selected Works of Ancient Calligraphy, Selected Works of Ancient Paintings, Selected Works of Ancient Jade Art, and Selected Works of Ancient Buddhist Statues.

Beijing Planetarium

Beijing Planetarium is located at Xizhimenwai Avenue. It is dedicated to popularizing astronomy through housing artificial star simulation performances and astronomy-themed exhibitions, publishing science books, as well as hosting astronomical observations. Beijing Planetarium has become a base for the publicity and education of astronomic knowledge to the youth. It has been awarded the title of national and municipal “Advanced Collectives of Scientific Popularization” on many occasions.

National Art Museum of China

National Art Museum of China collects over 100,000 pieces of artworks, the majority of which are the representative works by Chinese artists since the end of the 19th century. They marked China's modern arts development. There are also some ancient calligraphy & painting works, foreign artworks, and various folk artworks. The collections include some of the works by art masters like Qi Baishi and Xu Beihong. In 1999, German collector the Ludwigs donated 117 pieces of foreign paintings, including 4 oil painting works by Picasso.
