1. Shihua Cave

Located in Fangshan District, Beijing, and 46 kilometers away from downtown Beijing, Shihua Cave is a national-level scenic spot, a national AAAA level tourist attraction, a municipal-level nature reserve for geological heritage conservation, and a science education base in Beijing. It is appraised as the best karst cave wonder in China. Shihua Cave is renowned both at home and abroad for its typical, diverse, natural, complete and rare karst cave resources.

2. Yinhu (Silver Fox) Cave

Located in Xiayingshui Village, Fozizhuang Township, Fangshan District, Beijing Yinhu Cave Scenic Area is 60 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. As a part of Shihua Cave National Geological Park, it is the only natural karst cave with both water and drought caves in North China that is open to the public. The featured landscape is the "Silver Fox", a 2-meter-long snow-white calcite crystal which resembles a cat-headed fox hung upside down on the top of the cave.

3. Xianqi Cave

Located in Dongguanshang Village, Zhangfang Town, Fangshan District, Xianqi Cave is less than 100 kilometers away from the 3rd Ring Road of Beijing. Xianqi Cave is deemed on a par with China's Top 4 limestone caves, namely, Yuhua Cave in Fujian, Ludi Cave (Reed Flute Cave) in Guilin, Yaolin Cave in Hangzhou, and Qianzhen Cave (also named Shihua Cave) in Beijing. Meanwhile, it also distinguishes itself from the above-mentioned caves.

4. Jingdong Karst Cave

Located on the east side of Heidouyu Village, Pinggu District, Jingdong Karst Cave is 90 kilometers east of the city area of Beijing. First discovered in eastern Beijing, it was therefore named Jingdong (literally East of Beijing) Karst Cave. The newly opened recreation cave in the karst cave has a constant temperature throughout the four seasons, warm in winter and cool in summer. In addition, a variety of geological science knowledge is provided to tourists so that they can gain a deeper understanding of the formation of the karst landscapes and the structure of the karst cave.
