Universal Beijing Resort
Starting from December 3, 2021 until January 8, 2022, the Universal Beijing Resort is hosting its first winter theme event-Winter Holiday at Universal Beijing Resort. Upon walking into the Hollywood-themed land, visitors will be greeted by blockbuster characters in their new and festive costumes and flower-adorned storefronts of architectural styles in the Golden Age of Hollywood. Tourists have access to seasonal snacks and drinks at food trucks and stalls at any time in the resort, as well as hundreds of trendy and limited-edition merchandise collections. At the Citywalk, visitors will be invited for a unique and fun experience with live violin performances offered.
Beijing Wtown
The snowy winter signifies the stunning revival of a fairy-tale Beijing Wtown. Themed tours, delightful fairs, craft experience, children's plays and beyond add to the list of winter tourism products and tourism options in suburb Beijing.
Beijing Expo Park
On December 24, 2021, Beijing Expo Park launched its first Ice and Snow Festival. At the event, tourists will have the opportunity to experience the longest, coolest, finest and funniest snow tubing in northern China. Apart from the access to a free snow play area, maze land and more, they can also have fun with excavators, tanks, motorbikes and banana boats on the snow.
The Longqing Gorge
The Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival is expected to begin in the middle of January 2022. With advanced laser projecting equipment and drone aerial filming, a 5000-square-meter mountain body will be lit up. In addition, over 350 ice and snow works inspired by Bing Dwen Dwen, Shuey Rhon Rhon, Alpine Skiing, and Olympic torch among many others, over 300 ice sculptures and eight sets of snow sculptures will make their debut.
Badaling Ski Resort
Badaling Ski Resort has upgraded all its infrastructure by increasing its overall ski piste area by 20,000 square meters to 160,000 square meters, broadening the existing pistes and adjusting their slopes. It has put the advanced piste Yangguandadao into use again, added new draglifts exclusively used for the 400-meter piste, and offered a training piste exclusively with the steepest slope of 32 degrees for athletic skiing lovers. This season, over 10 recreational events will be held at the resort including eight Proficiency Competitions for Mass Skiing, World Snow Day & International Children's Ski Festival and the Christmas Snow Carnival.
Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing District
On December 10, 2021, the Zhangshanying Town of Yanqing District kicked off its ice and snow tourism season with an introduction of 10 ice and snow recreational programs. The event will last until the end of February 2022. Aside from the availability of scenic spots including ice and snow carnival at the International Grape Exhibition Garden and Beijing Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort, the tourism season will feature a variety of theme activities such as the First "Inside and Outside the Great Wall Cup" Ice and Snow Family Sport Event, "Greeting Beijing Winter Olympics, Celebrating Chinese New Year", and Celebrating Chinese New Year in BnBs, which will enhance the vibes of the Winter Olympic town and reflect people's joy and excitement in anticipation of the opening of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
