To provide more convenient services for foreign nationals in Beijing and promote the city's high-quality socioeconomic development, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, along with the Beijing Overseas Talents Center, has comprehensively implemented the model of "joint application of two permits", namely the work permit and the work-based residence permit, at 13 service centers for foreign nationals since February 1, 2023. Foreign applicants who, as recognized by the Beijing Overseas Talents Center, meet the requirements for Class A, B, and C work permits can submit applications at the abovementioned service centers. The processing time frame is five working days for Class A work permits, and seven working days for Class B and C work permits.
Tips: After passing the level I preliminary review in the "Service System for Foreigners Working in China" (https://fuwu.most.gov.cn/html/fwsx), foreign applicants can choose a service center and make an appointment online (application is not necessary for those who apply for Class A work permits), and do not need to make an appointment again through the website of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau or the Wechat account of the Exit-entry Administration Department of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.
