On the evening of August 20, the "Fall in Love on Qixi at Yuanmingyuan", a cultural event based on the traditional Qixi Festival, took place at Yuanmingyuan Park.

The event showcased the cultural essence of the traditional Qixi Festival to the public through various engaging activities such as classic recitations, cultural lectures, fan painting experiences, the chances of putting on Hanfu (traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group), and the opportunities of releasing lotus lanterns on the lake nearby.
