BEIJING,  Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Beijing reported two new locally transmitted  confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, the municipal health commission said  on Tuesday.

Both  cases were reported in a residential compound in Daxing District, where  a number of cases had emerged lately, according to the commission.

No  new suspected cases or asymptomatic infections of COVID-19 were  reported on Monday in Beijing. Nor were new imported confirmed cases  reported.

Two patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday.

Related epidemiological investigations are underway.
