BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Beijing reported two new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the municipal health commission said on Monday.
Both cases, a female and a male, were reported in the city's Daxing District. The female, aged 63, was found positive during a nucleic acid test, while the male, aged 46, is a close contact of the female.
The city also reported an imported case Sunday. The male, 34, is a Chinese citizen working in Serbia. He arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on Jan. 12 and was tested positive during quarantine at the designated hotel.
Related epidemiological investigations are underway.
No new suspected or asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, either locally transmitted or imported, have been reported in Beijing on Sunday, said the commission.
