Fashion industry is the most dynamic and attractive part of the cultural and creative industry and is an important support for making Beijing a fashion and creative capital. It’s of great significance to speed up the layout of Beijing fashion industry and integrate it into the construction of national cultural center.

"Fashion Beijing" section is composed of a series of fashion and cultural activities within Beijing Fashion Week 2021, including opening and closing ceremony, runway shows, exhibitions, summit forums and awarding ceremonies. At the same time, the 5th "Snow Lotus" Cashmere Hand-knitting Creation Competition, Selection of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei top 100 young designers/ craftsmen and Beijing Fashion Week Photography Competition 2021 are also included.

Beijing Fashion Week 2021 adheres to the concept of openness, inclusiveness, and collaboration, and aims at serving cooperation brands and focuses on internationalization, branding, fashion-orientation and commercialization. By establishing promotion platform of brand cultural power, interchange platform of Chinese original design, create an extension center of fashion brands, a research and press center Fashion Beijing of fashion trends, as well as a commercial center, so as to become a fashion week with Beijing cultural characteristics and international influence.

Runway Shows

As an important part of Beijing Fashion Week, this section will further benchmark with world-class fashion weeks, focus on creating international fashion release standards, building a communication and cooperation platform for Chinese brands with the world, introducing the participation of more international and domestic famous brands and cutting-edge design force, emphasizing the exploration and guidance of cultural values and aesthetic connotations, and highlighting the fashion influence of the capital city Beijing.

This year, runway shows will be held at Shougang Park, Sanlitun, Longfu Culture Center, Wangfujing, Wangjing Walk, Zhangjiawan Design Town, J-Park and lots of online shows, attracting more international and domestic famous brands and new and vigorous design strength to join, paying more attention to the excavation and guidance of cultural value and aesthetic connotation and highlighting the fashion influence of Beijing.

Beijing Fashion Summit 2021

The theme of the Beijing Fashion Summit 2021 will be "The new 'Beijing Mode' of the Capital fashion Industry empowers urban Renewal and Development". Governmental leaders, educational experts, fashion leaders, and cross-border elite will be invited, combining with the construction and development requirements of "Design town, Smart town, Vigorous town" in the new era of Zhangjiawan Design Town, focusing on exploring innovative development models, and pooling intellectual resources to empower urban renewal and industrial upgrading. To contribute ideas and wisdom to jointly promote the development of Beijing fashion industry, enhance the cultural influence of Beijing, and accelerate the formation of a more international, professional, diversified and commercial fashion industry platform.
