On March 7, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park issued a notice, announcing the official commencement of nomination for the 2022 Beijing Science and Technology Award. The nomination system (website: https://sta.kw.beijing.gov.cn/jltm/) opened at 9:30 on March 10, 2023, and the deadline for the first submission of projects will be 17:30 on April 7. The deadline for revision of the files is 17:30 on April 17.

The 2022 Beijing Science and Technology Award consists of six awards, namely Outstanding Contribution Zhongguancun Award, Outstanding Youth Zhongguancun Award, International Cooperation Zhongguancun Award, Natural Science Award, Technological Invention Award, and Science and Technology Progress Award. The main goal is to reward scientific and technological researchers and achievements that have contributed to Beijing's development toward an international center for innovation, and strengthen support for related scientific achievements.
