In the administrative region of Beijing Municipality, it is forbidden to bring dogs to hospitals, teaching areas, and students' dormitories of schools.

It is forbidden to walk dogs on Tiananmen Square, East and West Chang'an Avenue, and other main roads. The specific list of the above-mentioned main roads shall be determined and made public by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.

Also, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality enjoys the right to delimit the areas to walk dogs during major holidays or important events.

District- or county-level People's Governments are allowed to restrict the keeping and walking of dogs at certain places in their administrative region.

In addition, residents, villagers, or residential property owners can hold meetings to discuss and decide on the prohibition of dog walking at certain sites within the residential areas.
