1. The parents of the infant or their agent shall, within 60 days of the infant's birth, complete the registration procedures for temporary stay or residence at the local exit-entry administration (a photocopy of the agent's identity document is needed).
2. All documents shall be submitted in both original and photocopy forms for verification.
3. Any material in a foreign language other than English shall be translated into Chinese.
For a foreign infant born in China, the parents or their agent shall, within 60 days of the infant's birth, complete temporary stay or residence registration for the infant at the exit-entry administration of the public security bureau of the people's government (at or above the county level) of the place of their stay or residence, with the infant's Medical Certificate of Birth (including attachments) or Birth Certificate.
The Exit-Entry Administration Department of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau reserves the right to final interpretation of these instructions.
