►Parents' valid passports and visas.

►Birth Certificate (including attachments) or equivalent document.

1. The newborn infant's parents or a trustee must go to the Exit and Entry Administration Department within 60 days of birth to register the infant for temporary stay or residence (a photocopy of the trustee's ID must be submitted).

2. For all abovementioned materials, the original documents need to be verified, and photocopies submitted along with originals.

3. Any application material in a foreign language (other than English) should be translated into Chinese.


The newborn infant's parents or a trustee must go to the Exit-Entry Administration of the local government (above county-level) Public Security Bureau within 60 days of birth with the Birth Certificate (including attachments) or equivalent document to register the infant for temporary stay or residence.

The right to interpret this Instruction resides with the Exit-Entry Administration of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.
