On November 7, the "Secret of Music - Immersive Music Technology Experience Exhibition" opened at the China Science and Technology Museum. This marks the inaugural immersive music technology experience exhibition in China. With over ten immersive spaces, 46 interactive exhibits, and a wealth of artistic installations, the exhibition guides visitors to delve deep into the scientific knowledge of music.

To seamlessly blend music and technology, the curatorial team has devised numerous innovative approaches, which are ingeniously embedded within the various exhibits in the exhibition hall. For instance, sound is transformed into electrical signals and conveyed to a motor, which, in turn, induces vibrations in the rope, generating diverse waveforms. As a result, visitors can "visualize" their own voices. When visitors pick up the earpiece, they can listen to the music while feeling the texture of the earpiece and pinching the airbag to savor its fragrance, all of these let them experience the captivating interplay of music with touch and smell.

In the fourth exhibition area, known as the "Future Concert Hall", one exhibit named the "Cosmic Music Box" has captivated numerous visitors. As explained, this exhibit comprises an Earth-based component serving as the instrument's sounding end and a space-based component acting as its input end. The core of the space component is a transparent hexahedron containing a red ball. Every minute movement of this red ball within the cosmic realm is meticulously captured. By synthesizing the pertinent data, visitors can listen to sounds originating from the cosmos right within the exhibition hall.

This exhibition is a ticketed event and will last until February 29, 2024.
