On September 15, the 2021 Beijing Autumn Exhibition of New Flowers  kicked off at the Beijing World Flower Wonderland Park, with more than 300 new and excellent species of flowers on display. The event will last until the National Day holiday. Such new types of flowers have been available on the market for citizens to buy and plant them at home.

The outdoor exhibition area is located outside the boutique flower hall of the Beijing World Flower Wonderland Park. Visitors may not only enjoy more than 170 kinds of flowers produced in Beijing such as Chinese rose and chrysanthemums, but also find local flowers unique to Beijing. It is worth mentioning that thanks to the technology of flowering regulation, flowering plum, winter jasmine, Malus micromalus, and lilacs which blossom in early spring are able to make their appearance in the flower exhibition held in autumn.

Among the over 300 new species of flowers, there are over 180 ones cultivated with independent intellectual property rights. According to Shi Wenfang, Director of the Beijing World Flower Wonderland Park, some of these flowers have been placed onto the market, and visitors can scan the QR code on the flower label for purchase information.
