Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China has released the list of the third batch of the National Night Cultural and Tourism Consumption Gathering Areas, which includes a total of 102 areas. Shougang Park in Shijingshan District has successfully been included in this list.

 

Shougang Park has a unique industrial style, distinct cultural genes, and rich cultural and tourism elements. Seizing the opportunity presented by the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Shougang Park has successfully made breakthroughs in terms of urban renewal, becoming a model for the reuse and revitalization of industrial heritage sites worldwide, and a prime example of urban development driven by the Olympic Games. The No. 3 Blast Furnace has been transformed into the Global Premier Center with a vibrant stage; the No. 1 Blast Furnace has become the SoReal Science Fiction Paradise, bringing immersive and stunning experiences; the elevated utility corridor has become an aerial walkway; and the Big Air Shougang is like a "glass slipper" that only appears in fairy tales, captivating audiences worldwide.

 

The park serves as a venue for a diverse range of purposes, including cultural exhibitions, science fiction experiences, parent-child activities, cultural and sports events, hotel accommodation, autonomous driving, cultural tourism routes, and specialty dining, catering to visitors' needs of "eating, living, traveling, shopping, and entertainment". Currently, there are over 300 companies in the park, with a total registered capital of over CNY 50 billion. In 2023 alone, more than 230 events were held here, including the China International Fair for Trade in Services, China Science Fiction Convention, and the art gala of Beijing Culture Forum, recording an annual total of over 12 million visits. Shangri-La Shougang Park has been awarded three awards at the AHEAD Asia 2022. Holiday Inn Express Beijing Shijingshan Lakeview and Holiday Inn Express Beijing Shijingshan Parkview provide business and leisure accommodation choices.

 

The park has established a "5+10+15" supporting accessible consumption circle, where every visitor can easily access coffee shops and light meal restaurants within a 5-minute walk, dining venues within a 10-minute walk, and dining venues for gatherings within a 15-minute walk. This arrangement has promoted consumption in the park and enhanced overall satisfaction.

 

Shougang Park has a convenient transportation system with easy accessibility, thanks to its well-developed road network. It is close to several subway lines, including Line 1, Line 6, S1 Line, and M11 Winter Olympics Branch Line. Beixin'an Station and Xinshougang Station are within the walking distance to the park. Two urban expressways, Fushi Road and Lianshi Road, also provide fast access. The park also offers autonomous vehicles, buses, shared bicycles, etc., providing convenience for companies, merchants, and tourists.
