Recently, several banks in Beijing have optimized their payment services to address the issue of small change, aiming to facilitate more convenient cash transactions. They have achieved this by upgrading self-service machines and providing handy "coin wallets."

At the Fuxingmen Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), situated on Financial Street in Beijing, the first integrated cash withdrawal machine of ICBC capable of dispensing CNY-10 banknotes has recently been deployed. This ATM has gained popularity among foreign nationals residing or working nearby who seek to withdraw small changes.

When a bank card is inserted, the interface on the ATM screen displays the instruction "Please select or enter the withdrawal amount, which should be multiples of CNY 10 or CNY 100". Users can then enter the desired withdrawal amount. The cash dispenser has two compartments to provide customers with the denomination most suited to their needs.

It is reported that the ATM was recently upgraded to include the function of dispensing small denominations of cash, allowing foreigners with Visa and MasterCard cards and other international cards to withdraw cash in CNY. Following the application at the branch, the same type of ATM was also introduced at the Payment Service Center in Beijing Daxing International Airport. ICBC now plans to accelerate the deployment of ATMs with small denomination cash withdrawal capabilities to achieve full coverage in key areas of Beijing.

Meanwhile, the Beijing branch of China Merchants Bank's Beijing has reduced the processing time for foreign currency exchange-related cash transactions by implementing special windows, adjusting queue settings, and enhancing lobby flow guidance. Additionally, it has initiated the distribution of "coin wallet" products.
