Beijing Subway Line 12, set to commence operation in 2024, has completed the commissioning of its vehicles, with all 42 metro vehicles stationed. The line will start a no-load trial run lasting no less than three months.

Each carriage is spacious and well-lit, and will run in a smooth manner. Line 12's trains, as a new type of rail trains independently developed, designed and manufactured in Beijing, will achieve flexible marshaling and cross-line operation for the first time.

Line 12 mainly runs east-west along the North Third Ring Road. It has 21 stations and is about 30 kilometers. The plan is to open 20 stations from Sijiqing Station in Haidian District to Dongfeng Station in Chaoyang District in 2024.

Line 12 runs through Haidian, Xicheng, Dongcheng and Chaoyang districts, connecting residential, commercial and functional areas like Shijicheng, Sanyuanqiao and Dongba. Passengers on Line 12 can easily transfer to Line 4, Line 5, Line 8, and several other lines.

After the line opens, Sanyuanqiao Station will serve as a transfer hub for Line 10, Line 12 and the Capital Airport Line.
