Catching a movie, dining out, or attending an open-air performances on the CityWalk are new ways to enjoy the Universal Beijing Resort.

Citizens attend an open-air concert on Universal's CityWalk
On the evening of July 1, music cued the opening of the Music@CITYWALK Open-air Concert in the grassy area between Peet's Coffee and Neon Street Market Restaurant. A series of performances like this will be presented every Saturday all summer. Additional performances have also been scheduled for Friday nights since July 21.
More than just the first stop for visitors arriving at Universal Beijing Resort, the CityWalk is also a nationally recognized nighttime cultural tourism mecca in China. Currently, there are 24 stores (including one multifunctional cinema, 15 featured restaurants, and eight renowned retail stores) as well as several mobile vendor carts. These well-selected stores are typically characterized by their focus on interactivity.
Another reason why many people deliberately choose the CityWalk as their destination lies in the fact that it remains open until 23:00. According to a staff member at Universal Beijing Resort, "The CityWalk usually closes three hours later than the theme parks and it is planned for the opening hours to be further extended around the October 1 National Day holiday to the early hours of the following morning."
