A three-day exhibition to showcase China's civil aviation innovation achievements kicked off in Beijing on last Thursday, serving as an important platform to demonstrate high-quality development in the sector.

Guided by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the exhibition aimed to show innovation in smart travel, smart logistics, smart operation and smart regulation in the sector. Organizers were demonstrating new technology applications in civil aviation innovation, including big data, artificial intelligence, mobile internet and cloud computing, that could assist with building safe, reliable and independent industrial and supply chains in the civil aviation industry.

At the exhibition, a rest cabin that could be used at airports drew attention. The cabin gives passengers a private space to take a nap while waiting for their flight.

A robot that could cruise around an airport and serve fresh coffee to travelers was also on display at the event.

Nearly 100 participants took part, hailing from airline companies, airports, research institutes, universities, manufacturing enterprises and more.
