On March 16, 60 foreign journalists from 51 countries visited Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block and Shougang Park under the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and the People's Government of Shijingshan District. In the ZGC Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center located in the Shougang Park, foreign journalists visited a sci-tech virtual exhibition featuring Metaverse Odyssey as well as high-end, precision and sophisticated sci-tech and cultural enterprises engaging in AI, VR, and 3D audio, enjoying an immersive experience of Shijingshan District's urban regeneration and sci-tech innovation.

Foreign journalists had a better understanding of the cultural inheritance and urban regeneration of the century-old street in Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block and also felt the thriving city life that local people have in Beijing. In Fahai Temple Mural Art Center, they watched cultural relics presented in 3D digital forms and had a good journey in exploring splendid mural paintings in the temple. 

Foreign journalists visited the exhibition featuring Metaverse Odyssey at the ZGC Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center to have an immersive trip in the metaverse. In the SoReal Metaverse Park, they explored the way enterprises establishing an international cultural and technological park which integrates XR tech and industrial heritage of the Shougang Park. All of them hoped that relevant enterprises of their countries could come for exchanges and cooperation in Shijingshan District.

Planned by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the press tour "Foreign Journalists Visit Beijing" invites and organizes foreign journalists to visit Beijing through on-site visits and activities with immersive experiences. It is hoped that Shijingshan district would be more popular and win reputation around the globe after the recent visit to it. The visit also showcases the greater economic vitality enjoyed by the district and Beijing.
