In February 2023, the Beautiful China Tour - Wellness Tourism Promotion Conference, co-hosted by the Publicity Promotion Center of the China Tourism News and the Committee of Media Organizations of the World Tourism Cities Federation, was held in Beijing. At the conference, Miyun District won the honorary title of "National Wellness Tourism City". Over the years, Miyun District has set the development goal of "building a national demonstration area for eco-civilization and a new city with mountains and rivers suitable for living, business and tourism", and implemented the principle that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". With 43 scenic spots and gorgeous scenery in all seasons, the district has continued to put ecological and green development first to build itself into a major tourism district.
