In March, the Capital Library of China comprehensively launched a series of culture-related volunteer activities which will last until the end of the year 2023.

The Beijing Public Library Volunteer Corps is teaming up with the volunteer service teams of libraries from throughout the various districts in the capital to take actions in 2023. In March, volunteers are invited to visit the Capital Library of China cultural volunteer club on Saturdays, where they are given the opportunity to share their experiences and feelings about volunteer work. The volunteer corps and service teams will also recruit professional volunteers skilled in calligraphy, photography, recitation and other fields to practice the spirit of Lei Feng in the "city of readers" cultural volunteer services. Classic services, including online reading and sharing sessions, sign language salons, and audiovisual translations of films for the disabled, have all resumed.

The Cultural Volunteer Service Center of the Capital Library of China will specifically provide training for young volunteers to promote reading. This year, volunteer services will be extended to Hotan in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with culture-related volunteer activities and cultural aid.
