Beijing to Construct Chinese Certified Emission Reduction Trading Center

On February 16, Chinese and foreign media were invited to the China Beijing Environmental Exchange to expand awareness of Beijing's low-carbon development. This event was hosted by the 2022 Beijing Media Center to encourage media to explore the dual Olympic city.

Beijing is the center for pilot operations in carbon reduction

After eight years, the system of Beijing's carbon reduction operations has substantially improved with the highest carbon price in seven respective markets in China.

Tan Pu Hui  encourages green travels

Beijing initiates the Tan Pu Hui (public benefits from carbon emission reduction) program based on the carbon market, which has registered more than 300,000 users since its launch and undergone 21 million "green" travels since its conception.

CCER trading center under construction to connect with international carbon trading systems 

Currently, China is planning on initiating the Chinese Certified Emission Reduction (CCER)trading system. To date, the construction of the CCER trading center has been progressive.

The CCER system will help Beijing to gradually explore its way to connect and cooperate with international carbon trading systems. It will serve as part of China's initiative for the global effort to cope with climate change.
