The 2021 Beijing Contemporary Art Expo is scheduled to take place at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing from Oct. 13 to 17, with VIP previews set for the first two days, and public days from 15 to 17.

This year's art expo will be the largest since it was launched in 2018. More than 90 exhibitors will gather to present their works created from multiple perspectives, providing a visual feast for attendees.

Artworks of prominent international artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Kishio Suga, Kiki Smith, Henri Michaux and well-known Chinese contemporary artists such as Xu Bing, Zhang Xiaogang, and Liu Xiaodong will be featured during the event.

The grounds will be divided into eight sections, including "STORY," "VALUE," "FUTURE," "ENERGY," "WONDER" and "CO-TIME", with two new additions this year, "DIGITALLATION" and "SYMPOSIUM."

As part of the larger 9th Beijing People Beneficial Cultural Consumption Season, the expo extends beyond participating art institutions, and will also see several cultural organizations and dining venues around the capital hosting events to boost the local culture economy.

Beijing Contemporary Art Expo is committed to tapping into the city's rich cultural resources and promoting the value of contemporary Chinese art. With its close ties to contemporary art galleries, the expo aims to foster a community for art trading, display and dialogue, in an effort to make the art world more accessible for a wider audience.
