National mixed team freestyle skiing aerials, the first event of testing programs for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, was held at Zhangjiakou Genting Snow Park on the evening of February 17. A number of athletes have also begun field training at the venues such as Genting Snow Park, the National Sliding Center, and the National Ski Jumping Center.

Testing programs for snow and sliding disciplines of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were officially launched on February 16. Including the Paralympic Games, a total of 22 testing programs will be held across three venue clusters of six venues in total at the Yanqing and Zhangjiakou competition zones.

Domestic athletes and technical officials were invited to take part in the testing programs, along with foreign expert observers.

Conducting trial competitions and field training can help reveal problems and build up experience with the competition areas, equipment, energy resources, transportation and other facilities. Meanwhile, rehearsals of command structure, event organization and competition services can also help break in teams of venue personnel.

Testing programs for the ice discipline is scheduled to start in April of this year.
