Surprises and intresting videos on Spring Festival charms and touching Chinese stories have been prepared for the first seven days of Year of the Ox 2021. Produced by the Information Office of Beijing Municipality, the 7-episode video series, "I am in Beijing for Spring Festival" tells the stories about seven people of different nationalities and in different trades who spend Spring Festival 2021 in Beijing. In the video clips, these people are interviewed by foreign reporters to share their life and work experiences and stories about Spring Festival.

Here is the 2nd episode: Peking Opera Actor: Rehearse Peking Opera for the Spring Festival.

Song Yan, from Beijing, head of Beijing Fenglei Peking Opera Troupe, has been performing Peking Opera for 44 years. During the Spring Festival, he and the troupe actively rehearse new plays while performing small-scale shows. In Song's memory, watching Peking Opera has always been a popular Spring Festival activity to Beijing residents, especially to local Beijingers. As a traditional art, Peking Opera embodies rich elements of Chinese culture, and is a good way to send Spring Festival greetings. "After the pandemic, we will again perform classic plays to the audience," said Song.
