Admittance to Beijing's municipal parks, including the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park, Zhongshan Park, Xiangshan Park, Jingshan Park, Beijing Botanical Garden, Beijing Zoo, Taoranting Park, and Yuyuantan Park will be free from February 11 to 17.

These locations will enforce anti-crowding measures (with the amount of visitors capped at 75% of the typical maximum), require advance appointments, and stagger visitors. Visits to some scenic spots in these parks must be booked in advance. For specific booking methods, please refer to individual announcements from each park. Scenic spots will remain open on February 15 (including those generally closed on Monday). Detailed procedures are as follows:

1. Starting February 8, "Beijing Park Tours" (ID: gh_0b7ca87ab7a3) and other WeChat platforms for the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Xiangshan Park, and Beijing Zoo will offer reservations for free tours during the Spring Festival holiday. Visitors must use their ID card to make a reservation, and scan their ID card upon entry. Primary and middle school students should use their ID number to make an appointment, and can enter the parks by scanning their ID card or QR code.

2. Visitors from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan as well as foreigners may book their visit to most of the parks via phone along with a form of ID: Mainland Travel Permit (Hong Kong and Macao Residents), Mainland Travel Permit (Taiwan Residents), passport, or other valid certificate. Reservations must be made through WeChat for visiting the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Xiangshan Park and Beijing Zoo.

3. Visitors with annual, quarterly, or monthly passes and beneficiaries of any preferential policies may follow the original policies.

4. Visitors are required to line up at the entrance of the park, maintain a distance of one meter from each other, go through the security check, have their temperature taken, and present their health QR code.

5. When visiting the parks, please maintain civility. Wear a face mask, maintain social distancing, and avoid gathering in large groups. Visitors are required to wear a face mask indoors or when staying outdoors less than one meter away from others.

6. When the number of visitors in the park is close to the maximum allotment, the park will begin to implement restriction measures. Please cooperate with staff members who are responsible for dispersing visitors.

Note:

The 10 municipal parks which will be open for free during the Spring Festival holiday have made announcements on their WeChat official accounts. For more information about park reservations, please follow their official accounts.
