Three overseas liaison offices in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt of Germany were set up by Shunyi-based Beijing Sino-German International Cooperation Industrial Park in cooperation with operation and management organizations for international and specialized industrial parks. The cooperation also leads to the establishment of the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association and cooperation mechanisms with more than 30 internationally renowned organizations.

Beijing Sino-German Industrial Park at present works on 22 key German-funded projects, including 7 registered projects, 10 projects pending for site selection, and 5 others now under negotiation.

Covering a planned area of 20 square kilometers, the Industrial Park is designed to mainly consist of two areas: the primary area and the expansion area. The primary area on the east side of Beijing Capital International Airport is reserved mainly for German hidden champion companies and sci-tech service platforms engaging in R&D design, pilot test, small trial, testing and verification, system integration, etc. The expansion area located in the Town of Zhaoquanying is planned for large-scale production bases such as smart factories and eco-friendly factories, now already a home to German-invested enterprises including the new energy vehicle factory of Mercedes-Benz and a subsidiary of Wilo.
