Hi, everyone! I'm Zhu Xiao, a professor of environmental law at the Renmin University of China. Today I will show you a group of postcards of "green peacocks", which are the Chinese green peacocks in the well-known folklore “A Peacock Flying to the Southeast”. The green peacock has been listed as an "endangered" species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. A few years ago, when their precious habitat was threatened by a dam under construction, an environmental organization known as "Friends of Nature" filed a preventive environmental lawsuit for public interest.
