The 2024 Beijing New Year Countdown event will take place on the evening of December 31, 2023, in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District. Additionally, Sanlitun SOHO, Huaxi LIVE, and Shoukai LONG Street will also host New Year countdown events. Be sure not to miss out on these exciting celebrations.

At 23:00 on December 31, the National Centre for the Performing Arts will present a special concert, allowing the audience to ceremoniously welcome the chimes of midnight on New Year's Eve with music.

At 14:30 on December 31, the Beijing Performing Arts Centre will present works such as "Festive Overture", showcasing the charm of Chinese folk music.

During the period from December 1 to New Year's Day, Beijing WTown will open its Fantasy Fairy Tale Season. There will be various activities, including encountering fairy tale parades, exploring the stove markets, participating in lighting ceremonies, as well as more than ten ice and snow activities like ice skating, dragon boating on ice, and ice bumper cars. Visitors can also stroll through the market, cut window flowers, write Spring Festival couplets, make lanterns, draw New Year paintings, and experience the traditional Beijing New Year atmosphere.

The 2nd Beijing Expo Lantern Art Festival has been launched and will run until March 15, 2024. The festival includes music parties, situational performances, and folk flower fairs, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the Expo Park, appreciate lantern displays, experience folk culture, and celebrate the New Year.

On December 15, the 9th Ice and Snow Season of COFCO · Xiangyun Town, themed "ANOOKI Chase the Light!", commenced and will last until February 2024. ANOOKI, created by French artists, is a polar-themed IP and a winning entry of the 3rd Lyon Festival of Lights in France. During the Ice and Snow Season, various themed parades like Elves Welcoming Guests, ANOOKI Meet-and-Greet, and Chinese Hanfu Lantern Fairs will be performed at different times.

The 3rd Ice and Snow Carnival of Beijing World Park will continue until late February 2024. With the unique miniatures of global landmarks at the World Park as the background, the carnival creates over 20 recreational activities and transforms nearly a hundred miniature landscapes into a winter fairy tale world, offering a blend of food and drink, entertainment, snowscapes admiration, photo check-ins, performances viewing, NPC interactions, and other entertainment activities. This allows visitors to enjoy a uniquely immersive ice and snow experience.

From December 30 to January 1, a New Year's market named the People's Market "Long Dong Qiang" will be held at Longfu Temple in Beijing, featuring live graffiti, a winter sports festival, giant puppet performances, music parties, a special photography exhibition, and more exciting events.
