The 2023 Beijing Design Week (BJDW) kicked off on September 21. This year, BJDW is set to host nearly a thousand events of various categories across a sprawling area exceeding 3 million square meters. The permanent site of BJDW, located in Zhangjiawan Town of Tongzhou District, was officially inaugurated on the same day.

The 2023 BJDW encompasses a range of events including the Opening Ceremony and Thematic Forum, Design Metropolis Dialogue, Thematic Exhibitions, Beijing International Children's Design Week, Beijing International Brand Week, Talents of Design, Design Night, Design Hop, and Beijing Design and Art Expo. Among them, the Opening Ceremony and more than twenty exhibitions, forums, and fairs will be held in Zhangjiawan Design Town, the permanent site of BJDW, with a majority of these exhibitions and markets being freely accessible to the public. The Design Hop section will highlight unique events such as "Ziroom Design Week X Joylink Day", Future Food Lab, Art Village, Evaluation of New Consumption Choices at Parks, and Pets Maker Festival.

The major events of BJDW will wrap up on October 7. In November, Beijing Design and Art Expo will also grace the China Agricultural Exhibition Center.
