On March 9, the Changping District People's Government, Beijing Changping Cultural Tourism Development Group Co. Ltd., and Druid (Beijing) Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. signed a tripartite cooperation agreement for the "La Vuelta China Challenge-Beijing Changping" event to be held in Changping District for the next five years. Moreover, application will be made for recognition of the event as a C-category international competition in China. The 2023 competition is scheduled for mid-June, with 1,500 competitors expected to participate. The 5-8 top international cyclists from the La Vuelta, the Tour de France, and the Giro d'Italia will be invited to cycle along with enthusiasts participating in the event.
