The Paleozoological Museum of China staged a preview of the special exhibition for the Year of the Rabbit on January 17. The exhibition has four sections, namely "Evolution of the Rabbit", "Origin of the Rabbit", "Battle of the Rabbit and the Rat", and "Star Fossils in the Rabbit Family".

The highlights of the exhibition are the maxilla fossil and restoration image of Mimotona wana Li. This 62-million-year-old skull fossil of the earliest known rabbit-like animal was discovered and named by Li Chuankui, a paleontologist at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

With special areas for visitors to interact and experience the fun of science, the exhibition will last until June.
